Sikh Business Council

Navjot S.

Navjot currently serves in a public affairs and government relations role within British Columbia’s post-secondary sector, where she helps lead strategic communications and engagement and advocacy initiatives that advance research, innovation, and public impact.

Her distinguished career includes serving with the Government of Canada in the Office of the Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Rural Economic Development as Regional Advisor for Western and Northern Canada, with Global Affairs Canada in the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and in the offices of Members of Parliament. Through these roles, she has contributed to federal policymaking, intergovernmental collaboration, and meaningful engagement with communities across Canada.

Beyond public service, Navjot has dedicated countless hours to volunteering with local non-profit organizations supporting women, youth and multicultural communities. Her career reflects a deep commitment to public service, inclusive leadership, and strengthening the institutions that help communities thrive.

At the Sikh Business Council, we believe that Sikh leadership extends far beyond business. It is reflected in those who strengthen public institutions, shape policy, build partnerships, and create opportunities for future generations. Navjot embodies that vision through a career defined by collaboration, integrity, and meaningful public service.

We are honoured to welcome Navjot Kaur Sanghera to the Sikh Business Council’s Community Leadership Council as we continue connecting, elevating, and advancing Sikh leadership across Canada for generations to come.
